Welcome to the blog!

Brandon & I were hiding in the shadows of the church pillars when Young asked Kristen to marry him.

I held my breath for a long time and took literally one photo while Brandon prayed the rosary a pillar away, only hearing hushed whispering from the two nearly (and then newly!) engaged folks a couple pews away. We’re friends with these two and were so honoured to be part of their engagement day, so it made sense to bring Brandon with (for a little camera practice!) for their engagement session! We had the best time walking around Crescent Beach (Blackie Spit, really) getting these two to show their genuine selves (not hard) and bask in the only task at hand: focusing on each other.

It was a date night to connect, refocus, and remember this season of life. The weather reflected the past few months: cloudy during the day, but the most glorious sunset breaking through and chasing away the darkness. These two have fought hard for each other, becoming more like gold through the storms.

What a gift to experience the fruit of their heavenly pursuit.

“Young and I were both talking about how glad we are that we opted for the engagement session. Not only are the images gorgeous, it was just so refreshing to have a few hours where our only job was to connect with each other. Those precious moments are few and far between when inundated with the unending tasks of wedding planning!! Plus it was just really fun to hang with you and Brandon!” – Kristen ♥️
