They’re all-in kinda people. The first time they met they had trouble looking each other in the eye because they knew this was something bigger than themselves. Something that meant big life changes. Something that meant trusting on a whole new level. Something that meant showing up and letting themselves be seen – truly seen – every day.
They live without reservation, being who God created them to be: creative, fearless, independent people apart from each other & an absolute force to reckon with as a couple.
They’re also the kind of people whose rooms are never quite as clean as they’d like because they’re always meeting up with friends, both as a couple & on their own.
So, naturally, we get along really well. We’re all “creatively organized.”
Our first Skype date was an hour & a half long, talking more about life than about their wedding. This past weekend we hung out, taking photos & drinking coffee, for almost four hours & when they dropped me off I was a little sad that I wouldn’t get to see them for a long time. Another point for Calgary for having these two gems call it home!
But then plans changed & Caiti picked me up for church on Sunday & my little quality-time-loving heart was absolutely bursting with joy again.
Sam & Caiti, you are so giving of your time, your words, & your entire selves. Thank you for inviting me into your lives. I am SO THRILLED to be coming back to Calgary to photograph your wedding in September!
And, let’s be real, I’ll be back before then ;)
