They’re firm, steadfast; standing up for what, and who, they believe in. Wholeheartedly co-creating a life with the Lord that shines brighter than any plans they could’ve made on their own. The trust they have in God’s providence – His promise of eternal life – already runs deep and this is just the beginning of their adventure together.
Their joy is a gift, an optimistic yet realistic outlook on life buoyed up by the Holy Spirit. To know them is to feel known yourself, always welcomed and invited and served with nothing expected in return. I had tears in my eyes throughout the day as I watched Danielle & Nathaniel, having experienced the fruit of my friendship with them, feeling so honoured to have my life touched by theirs, witnessing their commitment to this covenant of marriage.
I say this a lot about my couples, but it seems especially true of these two: on their own they are each incredible human beings, but together they’re straight up extraordinary.
Danielle & Nathaniel, what a weekend. What a life you’ve chosen. What a gift you are to everyone.
xoxoxo
PS. To the congregation at the church: THANK YOU for listening to Fr Cristino remind you of Danielle & Nathaniel’s wish for you to fully enter the moment without taking photos. This was one of the first times I’ve looked through all the photos I’ve taken from a ceremony and felt like I captured guests watching what was happening through their own eyes, not their cameras. Danielle & Nathaniel are going to LOVE seeing your faces (and not your phones!) for the rest of their marriage!!
