There was a quiet hum of excitement.
These two were evidently at peace with their decision, eager to walk down the aisle but beautifully calm while preparing to do so. Smiles and hugs all around from both families and friends they call family, squishing together despite the heat because, on a day like this, a little extra sweat is nothing compared to the joy of being together. Extra tight forearm squeezes, kisses planted on loved ones, furious dance moves; all in the name of celebrating the marriage of two kick ass, Christ-loving people.
Roger & Sara have such kind, grateful hearts. Going the extra mile, making room for others in their lives, welcoming people wholeheartedly into the party they call life. They know they don’t fully know what it means to always choose each other for the rest of their lives, but goodness they’re invested in figuring it out, in practicing patience & extending grace to the one they want to be closest to.
They’re looking for the gold in each other.
Much love to you, Roger & Sara. Your wedding was the 50th one I photographed, but that’s certainly not the only reason I’ll be keeping you close to my heart.
