Risa was with me at work when my husband texted me for the first time. A couple months later she moved in with me (and our dear Alicia!) and watched my relationship unfold. We shared a lot more than that together, commuting to work (in my car because we were constantly running behind even though it was just a 10 minute walk), eating dinner together, introducing her to egg nog, decorating a 30ft Christmas tree, watching movies on the living room wall, trapping all sorts of household pests, moving because of said pests… I have so many cherished memories with her!
She has a servant heart, is aware of everyone in the room, and always willing to go above and beyond what’s required of her. Risa is intentional, loyal, and joyful – plus a lil extra, which makes anytime with her even better.
Risa and Justin complement each other, challenging each other and encouraging growth across the board in their lives. His humor can surprise her, but his commitment to loving her well is no surprise to anyone. They’ve both got their hands full in the best way; overflowing with gratitude to have found each other.
Their ceremony at Sts Joachim and Ann Catholic Church was beautiful and their portraits at Aldergrove Park are some of my new favourites of all time!! Plus a small backyard reception (complete with dogs!) will always be a winner of a party!
I love you both so much and I’m so happy I got to celebrate with you! You radiated joy and peace and that moment when you realized you were actually married, Risa, is one of my favourites from the day (at the beginning of their portraits!) but, really, the whole thing was amazing.
Congratulations, my friends! Happy honeymooning in Whistler!!
"They are beautiful photos and I think you captured our day perfectly! You were amazing and made us feel so comfortable and relaxed, you felt like one of the family! Thank you for making the trip out here, it meant a lot to us!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!"
"But you make them comfortable, too. You move through life with such humility and realness that others can't help but be real in your presence. Being a naturally awkward soul, your patience and easygoing way of taking pictures brings out the best in us!"
“The first time I saw our wedding photos, I felt like I was reliving the day all over again. Looking at them now, I still feel that way. It was a gift to have you as part
of our day, reminding us to focus on the now while capturing moments we
wanted to hold forever. We are so grateful for your gorgeous photos that
help us to keep our wedding day close."
