For Mama Affleck’s birthday this year the kids got her one of the best gifts in the world: family photos.
I photographed Jon & Amelia’s wedding last summer, and was THRILLED when Melissa, one of Jon’s sisters, reached out to ask me to spend time with her family again.
Their joy is contagious. It comes from a place of great depth, having known loss but also knowing true, abundant, overflowing life. The way they hold onto each other, without me prompting them, shows gentle and steady dedication. Their commitment to walking alongside their family through all that life has to offer is beautiful to witness.
What an honour to know this family. I adore them.
