Welcome to the blog!

They invited some of their favourite people in the whole world to their wedding & I’m pretty sure every guest would say the same about them.

Erin & Mark are like family to many, generously giving of themselves over years & years. They understand what it means to live life to the fullest, soaking up every ounce of their single years before meeting each other. Both understand that marriage is a beautiful gift, but it’s definitely not the beginning of the journey to heaven.

They’ve worked hard to put God first, always, and that’s evident in their relationship; they’re able to give more – always more – of themselves to each other because they’re not relying on their own strength to do so. The energy they have to gather people together, lifting everyone up, and treating them to a glorious experience of friendship is because they know how to rest with Jesus.

Every conversation I’ve ever had with these two has been full of eye contact and intentionality. I feel so important to them, blessed to be in the direct gaze of people who know how to love well.

Erin, my dear former roomie, we’ve had laughs and tears and real “what the heckin heck is goin on” conversations. There’s always time for “just a little cup” of coffee, which really means there’s always time for love and a heart to heart, with you. You kept saying, “I’m so glad it’s you!” on your wedding day but friend, I can’t even begin to tell you how glad I was that it was me, too. And so glad it was YOU, your time to revel in the beauty of becoming a bride & a wife finally here. You are brilliant, warm, genuine, and know deep, deep joy. What a gift to know, and be known by, you.

Mark, let it be known I will always claim The Hollow’s EPIC house warming in 2016 as the first (albeit faintest) connection point for you & Erin. You and I had a chat that day that showed how adventurous you were, and that has evidently been the case for much longer than I’ve known you, and most certainly will be for the rest of your life with Erin by your side. You are kind, servant-hearted, honouring, and dedicated to everything you put your mind to. We all know you’re going to be an exceptional husband.

With all my love & a big cheers to the newlyweds – Erin & Mark!

xoxo
