“Yes.”

It was straight forward, to the point, and without hesitation.

“Yes.”

From both of them, knowing their whole lives, answering my question with confidence.

“Have you always wanted kids?”

Yes.

These two have always wanted to be parents, even before they knew each other. They committed to marriage – a daring adventure on its own – and both felt confident in their call to this next big thing: a baby. Insert all the heart eye emojis, y’all. 

Zach & Danielle are laid back, ready to go with the plan while being open to changing it if life dictates change. That doesn’t mean they give up, though: the hailstorm we got caught in (and the rain that followed) could have put a damper on the evening we spent together, but they were game to wait it out & see what happened.

I know it was just a summer downpour, but that kind of attitude in life – calmly assessing the storms – seems wonderfully predictive of how this baby will be loved even in the hardest of times. And man, they LOVE this baby!! I can’t wait to meet their little babe in the fall!!
