Every pew in the church was full.
Friends squishing together, strangers making new friends real fast in close proximity, everyone excited over the event that brought them together:
The highly anticipated wedding of Josh & Rachel.
This marriage attracted quite the crowd of witnesses for good reason. Josh & Rachel know life is not just about themselves and have lived that out, loving everyone who has come across their paths with both tenderness & tenacity.
The web of connections filling the church was extraordinary, going back years or merely weeks, showing the depth to which Josh & Rachel have loved on people, no matter how long they’ve known them for.
That kind of love is beautiful.
Life-giving communities are built around that kind of love; serving without question, jumping in wherever needed, going the extra mile not because it’ll bring praise but because people are worth the effort.
That kind of love is needed.
That kind of love is what Josh & Rachel have for each other, too. Their relationship is driven by hope, filling their hearts with joy in a way that people can’t help but be attracted to them – and that full church was a testament to that.
We need Josh & Rachel. As Fr Bryan said,
“Your relationship gives us hope.
In a world that is dark and cold and bitter, we need you to be a light.”

Thanks for inviting me in to show the world the light you exuded on your wedding day, Mr & Mrs Nadeau. It was an honour.
