Augh I want to cry – I can’t believe I can get this sort of thing out.

That I’m not apologetic about any of it. That I truly mean every single thing.

Those were my words to Jackie right after I posted “date yourself.” I had no idea the kind of reach it would have – all I knew was that it came straight from my heart and I was in awe that I could be that honest. That it was so easy to express myself like that.

Those words also sum up this entire coaching experience for me.

I’ve learned a lot about myself over the past few years, but the past few months have helped me articulate everything more clearly. A lot of prayer, intentional alone time, and having Jackie there to sort through my jumble of emotions got me these words and narrowed down my beliefs to the things I can confidently back up with a good why behind them.

It’s so freeing to own who I am and declare it to the world. Unapologetically.

I had my friends & family over on Friday night to get the first look into all of the new things going on. Not a new me, but a true celebration of who God has made me. We drank wine, ate the best baked brie of my life, put our phones away to take photos on disposable cameras, and listened to some of my favourite songs played live by A Guy & A Girl.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who were able to come, and all who were there in spirit! I have friends turned clients/clients turned friends across the continent & your support means the world to me. The peace and joy and warmth in that room is something that will always have a special place in my heart.

I sat on my couch on Saturday afternoon and surveyed the remnants of a good party in front of me: empty wine glasses grouped by the sink, Instax photos sitting in piles of glitter on the coffee table, and traces of Chicago mix scattered across the kitchen floor.

How was it all over? How was it the middle of November already?

My heart has grown and stretched and, ultimately, pursued God more fervently over the past few months. I asked Him to reveal myself to me, and He did.

Amen.

So, my lovely friends, check out the new website to go with all this!
